The “China-Israel Business Cooperation Conference” Takes Place

On the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2008, the CCPIT Beijing assisted the Israeli Embassy in China in staging the “China-Israel Business Cooperation Conference” in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Financial Street, Beijing. Eliyahu Yishai, Vice Premier of Israel and Minister of Trade, and Deputy Chairman YU Ping of the CCPIT Beijing, attended the opening ceremony and addressed speeches.


After the opening ceremony, business negotiation was made between 120 enterprises in Beijing and 30 Israeli enterprises.


Deputy Chairman stated in his speech that Israel saw a good momentum in economic development in recent years; China and Israel enjoyed complementary advantages in economics and trade, and Israeli companies took a rather market share in China in terms of telecom, software, medical care and agricultural technologies, all of which provided a solid foundation for closer economic and trading cooperation between both sides.
Afterwards, Vice Premier Eliyahu Yishai made a brief speech. Boaz Hirsch, Deputy Chief of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor and Director of the Administration of Foreign Trade Affairs, introduced the economic development status and business opportunities at present. Uri Bernstein, Secretary-General of Israeli export insurance company, introduced the China-Israel financial agreement situations.
