The 6th ICCIE Draws Curtain
In the evening of November 9, 2011, the 6th China International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE) drew its curtain in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Present at the opening ceremony were Mr. HUA Jianmin, deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and ZHANG Meiying, vice president of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Mr. GUO Jinlong prided over the opening ceremony.
Director-General of the General Administration of Press and Publication Mr. LIU Binjie noted in his address at the opening ceremony that ICCIE had been successfully staged five times, and had generated extensive impact in creative industry home and abroad. It has become an important window and an important platform: a window of gathering together creative resources domestic and international, conducting industrial co-operation and product transactions, and studying of industry development momentum and trend; and a platform of promoting development of creative industry in China and augmenting worldwide co-operation within the creative industry field.
The 6th ICCIE convenes in a time with nationwide cultural system restructuring aimed at bigger and faster step for cultural development and thus bears milestone significance.
